Mehndi competition was conducted on 28-08-10 for classes III to V. All the children participated in this competition. They came prepared with designs and mehndi cones. Children showed a lot of interest. For classes I & II clay modelling competition was conducted. Children prepared beautiful things with clay. |

Class magazine of classes III to V were released by HM N.K. Chahal on 23-08-10. In this competition Badhte Kadam magazine got 1st position, Ek Pryas got 2nd Position and IV B class got 3rd positiion. |

Vidyalaya's Annual Inspection was held on 19-08-10. The team consisted of 5 members Shri. M.L. Sondhi (Education Officer, Regional Office, Chandigarh ), Shri. A.K. Independence Day was celebrated in the school with great zeal in the vidyalya. Worthy principal Dr. Mrs. Ambika Kalra unfurled the national flag and delivered a speech full of patriotic fervor. Students of the Vidyalaya presented a cultural programmer which was very entertaining and full of love for the country. After singing the national anthem Biscuits were distributed among the students. |

PTA meeting was organised on 03-08-10 in the vidyalaya campus at 12.00 Noon. More than 100 parents attended the meeting. They were addressed by the Principal Dr. (Mrs. Ambika Kalra, H.M. Mrs. N.K. Chahal and teacher members Mr. Vishal Gupta, Mrs. Neelam Sharma, Mr. K.S. Sangha and Mrs. Rita Passi. The problems of the students were discussed, suggestions / feedback from the parents were noted. |

AEP Activity (21-07-10 )

The Girl students of classes VIII to XI assembled in library during MPT period along with lady class teachers and the worthy Principal. The teachers Mrs Karamjit Kaur, TGT S.Sc., Mrs. Rajni Sharma, TGT Sc., Mrs. Neelam Rawat TGT Sc. and Mrs. Surjit Kaur, TGT Eng. delivered lectures, highlighting the importance of balanced diet, personal hygine, mental and physical well being for the adolescence girls. The session concluded with the Principal;s lecture, assuring the girls students of every possible guidance, help and also giving some useful tips & suggestions to be followed by them.

Today 26-06-10 a dramatization activity was done under the supervision of Mrs. Manju PRT in class III A. It was observed by HM and Principal madam. The whole class participated in teh activity. The students learnt a lot and enjoyed.

38 Student of this vidyalaya participated alongwith 3 escorts in Adventure camp held at Regional Mountainering Centre , Dharamsala from 25-05-10 to 03-06-10. They done many adventure activities like rock climbing, river crossing, rappling, recognisation of forest, disaster management. A real typoon was came in the camp and students face the disaster very well. All the students enjoying the camping life and want to more adventure activities in near future.

Lt. Col. I.P.S. Dhaliwal, Commanding Officer of 3 Punjab Bn. NCC, Ludhiana, addressed the students of classes VIII & IX and motivated them to join the Indian Army through NCC on 30-04-10. He also explain the benefit of NCC opt as a career. Students were very existing about the NCC activities and to be join in future. |

Kendriya Vidyalaya, Baddowal Cantt., Ludhiana celebrated Annual Day & Prize distribution function on 28 th April 2010 in the Vidyalaya premises. Col. H.P.S. Ahlawat, Commandant, 17 FAD & Chairman, VMC was the Chief Guest & presided over the function. Dr. (Mrs.) Ambika Kalra presented the Annual Report, highlighting the achievements of the Vidyalaya, in the field of curricular and co-curricular activities during the session 2009-10. On the whole it was a real success.

Full dress rehearsal of Annual Function was organized on 27-04-10. Participants in all the items show the final presntation with full dresses and equipments. Prizes to the 2 nd & 3 rd winners were given on the same day by the worthy Principal Dr. (Mrs. ) Ambika Kalra, Senior Most PGT - Mr. B.K. Chadha and HM MRs. N.K. Chahal. They were introduced to the system of teaching and other activities of KVS. Various topic like cleaniness, proper uniform, hygienic tiffin were discussed. A community lunch of Primary section (class III to V) was organized. The children brought different food items from their home. Before starting the lunch, they washed their hands, said prayer and enjoyed the lunch. They were told the importance of balanced diet, good food habits and importance of sharing. Vigilance awareness week was celebrating in the vidyalaya from 03-11-09 to 07-11-09. A pledge was taken by all the staff member of the vidyalaya on 03-11-09 at 11.00 A.M. in the assembly ground. The objective behind is to highlight awareness about effiective preventive measures undertaken through system, imprvoement & use of information and technology to fight curruption and eradicate it from all the Govt. organisation and system as far as possible. |

Annual Sports Day was held on 15th October 2009. the Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ambika Kalra declared the ‘Sports meet Open’. The oath was taken by the sports captain and vice captain of each house. There were different games, sports and athletic event organized. The Primary section students took part in balloon race, frog race and spoon and lemon race. Almost 200 students took part in different events. At the end prizes were distributed to the winners. Refreshment was given to the participant as well as all the students. |

Hindi Poem recitation competition for primary section was held in order to celebrate 'Hindi Pakhwara'. There were three groups of participants. First group consisted of Class I students. Class II and Class III students represented second group and class IV & V represented the third group. Selection of the poems was related to the current topics. Students presented the poem very well. Excitement amongst the participants as well as audience was worth praise. children maintained good discipline. |

Teacher's Day celebration in KV, Baddowal Cantt. was observed with a great enthusiasm in the remembrance of Dr. Sarvpalli Radha Krishnan. The celebration started with the introduction of pupil teachers offering their regards to the followed teachers. On this occasion Mrs. Paramjit Kaur (will be retired in end of current session) honored by the students and teachers. After that the pupil teachers were observed by the judges. A staff photograph was snapped. After recess, a get together was organized and give prizes of best pupil teacher in each category. |

A testing camp for Pratham / Dwitiya sopan eligibility was held in the Vidyalaya under the guidance of the principal and scout guide trainers. The camp started with inaugral ceremaony followed by flag hoisting. The scouts and guides of the vidyalaya made imporovised camps, did non fire cooking, projected gadgets, learnt different knote. A rally was also conducted from vidyalaya to MES Baddowal to convey the message about save environment. They were provided sancks & meals by the vidyalaya. In valedictory function a cultural programme was organised in the valedictory function. |

Art and Craft activities covered in this workshop are different kind of stencil Painting, paper cutting, mobile hangings, thermocol sculptures and showpieces etc. |

Annual Day & Prize distribution function celebrated on 28th April 2009 in the Vidyalayapremises. Col. Peyush Joshi was the Chief Guest & presided over the function. The function was inaugurated with the lightning of the lamp of knowledge followed by Saraswati Vandana in the form of invocation dance. Dr. (Mrs.) Ambika Kalra presented the Annual Report, highlighting the achievements of the Vidyalaya during the session 2008-09. Approximately 250 students from Primary and Secondary wing participated in the cultural programme i.e. Welcome song, Puppet show, Hindi skit, English dance, Regional dance of Jharkhand, Qwali, Bhangra & Giddha which were highly appreciated by the Chief Guest & Parents. Prizes were distributed by Mrs. Geetika Joshi, the first lady of the station. In his speech the Chief Guest highly applauded the progress made by the Vidyalaya in different fields. The function concluded with a vote of thanks followed by National Anthem. On the whole it was a real success. |

21 days workshop (18th April to 5th May 2009) of Art & Craft was organized by Mr. Joginder Singh (Drawing Teacher) under the able guidance of Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Ambika Kalra in the school to promote Art activities and creativity among the students. The workshop was inaugurated on 18th April by the Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Ambika Kalra. The timings of workshop is 2.00 PM to 4.30 PM before vacation and 9.00 AM to 11.30 AM during vacations. Art and Craft activities covered in this workshop are different kind of stencil Painting, paper cutting, wall Hangings, Flower making, paper sculptures, thermocol cutouts, photo frame making, thermocol sculptures and showpieces etc.

First Day of Class I in Vidyalaya (13-04-09)

The children of class I were welcomed during the morning assembly. After the assembly they were taken in the Activity Room which was decorated with balloons, buntings etc. A welcome song was presented by students of Class 2nd & 3rd. H.M. Mrs. N.K. Chahal informed the parent regarding the system and functioning of KVs. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ambika Kalra congratulate the parents for getting their wards admitted in K.V. and told about cleanliness and neutrinos food in the Tiffin.

Every Year in our vidyalaya 28th Feb. is observed as National Science Day. This year too it was celebrated with full enthusiasm. Theme of this year was “Environmental Values & Ethics”. Science teacher explained why & how the environment should be taken care off. How it should be pressured for global sustainability. Students recited the poem. Paper reading was done. There was science quiz, in which students participated very actively & showed lot of interest. |

A meeting of the Vidyalaya Management Committee was held at 11.00 A.M. on the chamber of Principal under the chairmanship of Col. Peyush Joshi, Commandant 17 FAD, Baddowal Cantt. The Chairman along with other VMC members inspected the Vidyalaya. He suggested putting vertical rods in the windows in new computer lab for the security of the valuable equipments. The committee decided to renovate the false ceiling of fine rooms, make a permanent leading to girls toilet. Broken windows pans and doors will be repaired.

He went to the classes nad interacted with the students and teachers to get the information about the curricular and co-curricular activities going on in the Vidyalaya. In the afternoon a formal floral welcome given to him by the Principal Dr. Ambika Kalra. He addressed the students and gave guidelines to improve their academic performance.
